Tell us a little about yourself.

I started my career in Product Development and always enjoyed hiring, managing and training people. I had a strong interest in the Human Resources side of being a people manager and was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to move into a recruiting role. I have been recruiting for 12 years. Coming from the business side and being a hiring manager for many years I have a transferable skill set that I use everyday in recruiting.

Why would a fashion industry job seeker want to work at/with your company?

As America’s largest kids’ specialty retailer, TCP’s #1 priority is product! Our teams work cross-functionally so that we have the right product, in the right channels of distribution, at the right time. This includes apparel, accessories, and footwear so Mom can quickly and easily dress her child in head-to-toe trends.

Our business transformation through technology initiative has two key components: inventory management and digital transformation. The tools associated with these initiatives are helping us ensure our channels have the right quantities of product allocated in the right places at the right time.

In addition to our TCP brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce, our international and wholesale points of distribution are expanding. Our international expansion program has grown with franchise partners (including stores, shop-in-shops, e-commerce sites), and our wholesale business continues to grow with our Amazon relationship.

We continually evaluate our store fleet to ensure we are operating at maximum productivity. Through fiscal year 2020, we plan to have closed approximately 300 stores in total.

Without talent, our strategic initiatives would not be possible. Our talent ultimately defines our success and, over the past several years, we have built a best-in-class team.

TCP’s commitment to operational excellence is the foundation of these strategic initiatives, and includes disciplined expense management and a focus on improving our global omni-channel operations.
