Recruiter Interview – Christine Mais
Tell us a little about yourself.
“I am a writer. Since being in Corporate America for the past 3 years, I have gained an interest in writing to those who work in a typical office setting. From topics on setting goals, tips on how to succeed during the day, on work attire, and more. While I continue to learn more about the Marketing and PR industries, I am working part-time as a Marketing Assistant for a boutique firm, Brick & Stylus Consulting.
Outside of work, I enjoy dining out and taking pictures of my different experiences. I have an Instagram account that centralizes around food & travel, which also incorporates my Yelp reviews. Check it out! @fingerlickinviews”

Atrium Staffing is a fast-growing recruiting agency that may no longer be considered “boutique”. With offices expanding in places around the nation, we are only going up from here!
Why would a fashion industry job seeker want to work at/with your company?
With many staffing agencies around the country, we can say that we are applicant-centric and believe in putting candidates first in every step of the way. The recruiters here always meet with candidates either face-to-face or through video chats. Getting to know people and their personalities is key, rather than solely reading a resume.
Tell us about the hiring process at your company.
Job seekers may visit our website; www.atriumstaff.com to apply to open roles. Once they submit an application, a profile will be created in our internal system. Our Customer Success Team is the first point of contact for those calling in. After advising job seekers to apply to the website, we suggest them to allow 5-7 business days for a recruiter to connect. After that time period, if a recruiter hasn’t reached back, they can always give a call back to follow up and we will connect them with a recruiter based on their profile. From that point on, it is up to the recruiter to decide if they are a fit.
What advice do you have for younger job seekers?
Networking is everything! Every opportunity I have received has been through someone who knew someone who knew someone. Connect with people on LinkedIn NOW! People who are in the same industry as you–ask thought-provoking questions, for advice & insight, etc. Rather than going straight to “Are you guys hiring?”, learn about their background and gain knowledge on how you can get where they are!
“With 3+ years of work experience, I am looking to grow professionally and individually within the Communication & Marketing fields. As a well-rounded collaborator, I am looking to develop strong client and customer relationships.
