Kansas State University’s apparel and textiles undergraduate program is designed to inspire students to envision fresh new approaches to the global challenges facing every aspect of the apparel and textiles industry. Our program of study gives our graduates the aesthetic, practical, technical, professional and intellectual skills needed for a variety of roles including design, technical design, sourcing, strategic planning, buying and various retail management and business management positions.
Our program offers students an academic experience that includes strong industry ties, required internships, faculty-led study tours, an annual public exhibition of student work, and events that bring professionals and alumni to campus.
All apparel and textiles students complete the core professional curriculum and specialize in apparel marketing or apparel design and production. The apparel design and production specialization is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and design (NASAD).
In addition, the program offers a resident master’s degree in apparel and textiles, an online master’s degree in merchandising, and a resident doctoral degree.
