ANTHONY VACCARELLO LEAVES VERSUS VERSACE; YVES SAINT LAURENT ANNOUNCEMENT EXPECTED SOON – TheNewYorkTimes
“Friday, Anthony Vaccarello has officially left his role as creative director of Versus Versace, the younger, funkier sibling brand of Versace and, in recent years, an incubator of up-and-coming designers. The brand confirmed the news on Sunday, clearing the way for the owner of YSL, Kering, to name Mr. Vaccarello as creative director of the fashion house. An announcement is expected this week. “While I’m sad to see him leave the Versace family, I wish Anthony Vaccarello tremendous success with his next chapter,” Donatella Versace said in a statement.”

CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN JUST MADE EVERY GIRL’S DREAM COME TRUE WITH THESE NUDE FLATS -Popsugar
” Christian Louboutin just introduced a gorgeous flat silhouette into its Nudes collection, a must-have ballet style called the Solasofia. Not only is the shoe perfectly dainty and embellished with a thin little bow, but it also comes in two new colorways, bringing the full range to seven styles and ensuring us there’s a shade to match our tone. And while the leather upper appears to be straightforward, it’s actually made from a new matte nappa material that’s textured like skin.”

AZZEDINE ALAÏA FINALLY PRESENTS FALL 2016 READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTION IN PARIS – Elle
“It’s been quite a while since Paris Fashion Week, but Azzedine Alaïa is finally ready to reveal his latest collection. The designer hosted a fashion show in Paris for ready-to-wear fall 2016 that packed a full house despite the delay, according to WWD. Unlike other designers who have adopted more immediacy with see-now, shop-now fashion shows, Alaïa is clearly not taking that route saying,”I took the time necessary to create them.” And his attention to detail clearly shines through.”

HEDI SLIMANE LEAVES SAINT LAURENT – Vogue
“The house confirmed Slimane’s departure via press release, stating that, “at the end of a four-year mission, which has led to the complete repositioning of the brand, the Maison Yves Saint Laurent announces the departure of Hedi Slimane as its creative and image director.” François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering, added: “What Yves Saint Laurent has achieved over the past four years represents a unique chapter in the history of the house. I am very grateful to Hedi Slimane, and the whole Yves Saint Laurent team, for having set the path that the house has successfully embraced, and which will grant longevity to this legendary brand.” The release notes that a new creative organization “will be communicated in due course.”

HIP ONLINE RETAILER GOES OFFLINE WITH INVITATION-ONLY STORE – RetailingToday
“In an unusual retail debut, Revolve Social Club opened on Thursday, on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, Calif. The 3,500-sq.-ft. space is a by-invitation-only venue, open to Revolve’s “most-devoted” customers, brand ambassadors and fashion influencers.” (The initial invite went to about 200 people, Women’s Wear Daily reported.) It’s located in a three-level building and includes an upper deck with a 360º view of Los Angeles. The space is designed to allow the retailer to connect more directly with its customers through private shopping, exclusive events and a deeper brand experience, according to the company. To that end, members can schedule a personalized shopping experience, with the entire store curated for that member using Revolve’s data-driven merchandising algorithms combined with its styling team.”
